This Privacy Policy describes how your personal data is processed by Digital & Privacy Law Lab, S.L.P. (hereinafter, "DPLL", "we" or "us"), through the website www.beckhamlaw.eu (the "Site"). The Site is an independent, free informational guide to Spain's Special Tax Regime for impatriates (Beckham Law); it provides educational content, an eligibility test and a tax calculator. Both tools run entirely in your browser — your answers are not transmitted to or stored by DPLL.

Personal data processed
DPLL may process the personal data that you provide us through the following channels:
- External contact form hosted on dpll.eu/contact/ (when you follow a "Book a call" link from this Site): name and surname, email address and reason for contact. Form submissions are processed under DPLL own privacy framework on dpll.eu.
- Cookies and similar technologies through the Site. Depending on your configuration in the cookie banner, the Site may collect and process technical and analytical data. Please check our Cookies Policy for full details.
- Interactive tools on the Site (Eligibility Test, Calculator) run entirely client-side in your browser. The answers and figures you enter are not transmitted to DPLL or to any third party; they are not stored beyond the page session.
In the event that you provide third-party data, you declare that you have the consent of the third party and undertake to provide them with the information contained in this Privacy Policy, exempting DPLL from any liability.
Purposes
DPLL may process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To process and attend to your request when you contact DPLL through the external contact form.
- To measure and generate aggregated statistical analysis based on your browsing of the Site (number of impressions, clicks, demographic distribution, geographic origin, etc.) using Matomo and, if you opt in, Google Analytics. Please check our Cookies Policy for full details.
Legal basis
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is as follows:
- For contact requests: adoption of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- For Matomo audience measurement in cookieless mode (which runs by default): legitimate interest of DPLL in understanding aggregate usage of the Site to improve its content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), supported by the fact that the configuration does not deposit cookies and processes only aggregated data — a configuration recognised as appropriate by EU supervisory authorities (notably the French CNIL).
- For Google Analytics and any other non-essential tracking that involves cookies or third-country transfers: your explicit consent via the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by reopening the banner from the cookie icon at the bottom-left of any page.
Data recipients and transfers
At DPLL we are fully committed to complying with applicable data-protection laws and respecting your privacy. Except as provided below, DPLL will not share your personal data with third parties.
- DPLL may be required by law to disclose your data to the Public Administration and other judiciary and law-enforcement bodies.
- For the provision of the Site, DPLL relies on the following processors and tools:
- Hostinger — web hosting provider (EU servers).
- Matomo — self-hosted by DPLL on matomo.beckhamlaw.eu; data remains under DPLL control and is not shared with third parties.
- Google Ireland Ltd. — Google Analytics 4, loaded only with your consent. Some data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.
Some recipients may be located outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or in countries without an adequacy decision. In those cases, appropriate guarantees are in place via the relevant Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.
Data retention
DPLL will keep your personal data for as long as necessary to attend to and provide the requested services, and in any event for the prescription periods set by the legislation that may be applicable in each case to attend future responsibilities.
For analytical data specifically: Matomo retains aggregated event-level data for up to 14 months and aggregated reports indefinitely. Google Analytics retains event-level data for the period configured in our property (currently 14 months) and aggregated reports indefinitely.
Your rights as a data subject
At any time, you can exercise the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request that we delete your data.
- Restriction of processing — limit how we use your data.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent for cookie-based tracking at any time via the cookie icon at the bottom-left of any page.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through dpll.eu/contact/. We will respond within one month, in accordance with Article 12 GDPR.
In the event that you do not receive a satisfactory response and wish to make a complaint or obtain further information regarding any of these rights, you may contact DPLL lead supervisory authority — Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) — at any time. You may also contact other supervisory authorities based on the country in which you reside.
